High Water Production is an increasing problem for the oil & gas industry worldwide. An estimated 3 bbls of water is produced for every bbl of oil. High water production limits the oil production and causes high water handling costs.
IOR Chemco`s aim is to reduce water production in the next years by reducing the water cut. We want to give our costumers effective well treatments by focusing on effective placement techniques. IOR Chemco`s products are injected into the reservoir formation by bull head injection. Once the emulsion is placed inside the formation the emulsion will seperate into an oil phase and a water phase where the water phase will gel up.
All components used in IOR Chemco`s products are approved for use by the Norwegian Pollution Control Authority (SFT).

IOR Chemco have performed an initial field test (mGel) in cooperation with Statoil and Total, test results are very positive with a 30% reduction in produced water and a substantial increase in oil production
